Rental terms

These Rental Terms summarise the main conditions for motorhome rental through AlmaCamper. The individual rental agreement signed for each booking contains the specific vehicle, driver, deposit, insurance and inventory details.

1. Company details

AlmaCamper is operated by KAVARION GROUP, S.L., CIF B-26601344, registered office at Calle Jove y Hevia no. 19, 1st left, 33211 Gijón (Asturias), registered with the Commercial Registry of Asturias, Sheet AS-65793.

2. Driver requirements

  • Minimum age: 25 years.
  • Valid class B driving licence, valid in Spain, held for at least 2 years.
  • Only the renter and declared additional drivers may drive the vehicle.

3. Booking, price and payments

  • The booking is confirmed by paying a 20% deposit.
  • The remaining balance is paid before pickup.
  • 250 km per night are included. Extra mileage is charged at €0.25/km.
  • The 100 km extra per day pack can be added for €30/night.
  • Different pickup and return stations, when available, carry a €49 supplement.

4. Security deposit

A €600 security deposit is required. It covers damage not covered by insurance, insurance excess, missing fuel, extraordinary cleaning, emptying of grey water or chemical toilet, excess mileage, delays, fines, charges and tolls. It is returned, with justified deductions if applicable, within 15 calendar days after vehicle return.

5. Cancellations

  • More than 30 calendar days before pickup: 100% refund of amounts paid.
  • Between 30 and 15 days before pickup: 50% refund.
  • Less than 15 days before pickup: amounts paid on account may be retained.

As this is a vehicle rental service with a specific execution date, the ordinary 14-day withdrawal right does not apply under Spanish consumer law.

6. Use of the vehicle

The vehicle is for private tourist use. Smoking inside is prohibited. Pets are welcome on request and with prior authorisation. Travelling outside Spain requires prior written authorisation from AlmaCamper.

7. Insurance, breakdowns and fines

The vehicle has comprehensive insurance with excess. The specific policy and excess are stated in the rental agreement. Breakdowns or accidents must be reported immediately to AlmaCamper and to the assistance service. Fines, penalties, tolls and related management costs during the rental period are the renter’s responsibility.
